AAIA
Domain 1: AI Governance and Risk: Advising on responsible AI adoption, aligning implementation with organizational strategy, and mitigating risk through policy, controls, and ethical considerations.
Domain 2: AI Operations and Change Management: Assessing an organization's AI risk profile and change readiness to ensure AI systems meet strategic and operational goals.
Domain 3: AI Audit Tools and Techniques: Applying audit methods built specifically for AI systems, and using AI tools to streamline and strengthen the audit process itself.
This course prepares students to sit for the ISACA Advanced in AI Audit (AAIA) certification exam, one of ISACA's advanced credentials for audit professionals, built specifically for IT auditors and advisors who want to formally validate their ability to audit AI systems. Enrollment includes instruction, guided study, and exam preparation aligned to ISACA's official AAIA exam domains, with earning the ISACA certification as the intended outcome of the course, not simply a CyberDI certificate of completion.
Class content covers how organizations govern AI adoption and manage the risk it introduces, including policy, data governance, and ethical considerations. Students also work through how to assess an organization's AI risk profile and change readiness against its strategic and operational goals, and how to apply audit techniques built specifically for AI, including auditing machine learning models, intelligent automation, and data-driven decision systems, while using AI itself to make the audit process faster and more effective.
Upon passing the ISACA AAIA exam, students earn a certification recognized as one of the first advanced AI audit credentials in the industry. Certified professionals are able to implement AI-driven audit processes, respond to risk and strengthen oversight in AI-enabled environments, audit data-driven systems with confidence, and deliver assurance across the full AI lifecycle, while advising stakeholders on responsible AI adoption.

While the core curriculum covers what is tested, our instructors go beyond that, focusing on how AI audit practices are evolving right now across regulated industries and the defense industrial base. Office hours remain a cornerstone of the experience, giving students the chance to work through grey areas of AI governance and control interpretation with an instructor in real time.
